Message from Pastor Hugh Jackman
The Blood of Jesus - July 2008
Hello friends, in clearly remember the day when the Lord revealed a tremendous mystery bo the Power of this precious blood. I was standing at a bus stop reading a booklet written by the late Kenneth Hagin Snr called the Precious Blood of Jesus. As I read, I reflected on the fact that things hadn't always gone well for me as a Christian. You see I had been through quite a lot of problems, financial, marriage, ill health etc but as I read through the pages of this anointed little booklet, a tiny little light switched on inside me that was to become the beginning of a major revival in my life. I was reading a passage that referred to the book of Hebrews, here is what it said.
Hebrews Chapter 10: 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. As I read this, I wondered what the words "having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience" meant, so I began to mediate upon the words, ( to meditate means to mutter to oneself. I spoke the phrase over and over whilst standing there at that bus stop and then all of a sudden the Lord spoke the following words to me. "consciousness of evil", "consciousness of evil". The light of God's revelation came to me instantly. I instantly knew exactly what he was saying to me. The Blood of Jesus has the power to wash your very conscience from evil furthermore, the blood of Jesus has the power to keep your conscience focused on the gift of God's righteousness, Hallelujah!
The book of Hebrews tells us that the priests offered sacrifices over and over again year in year out because the blood of Bulls and Goats had not the power to take away sins, only to cover it from the view of the father.
Hebrews 10 says For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
I knew that God had forgiven me for all of the bad things which I had done in my life, yet, my conscience was still evil or guilty, I couldn't shake it until the day I received the revelation of the blood. The Lord said are you ready to lose your guilty conscience forever? I said yes. He said repent for a final time and this time apply my blood to your life by saying "I place all these things under the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, which takes every sin away from me now!". The guilt left me instantly and has never returned, it is truly under the blood. You can have your conscience cleansed by the blood of jesus Christ today and forevermore! Praise God.
